IJDSCR listed among 59 Disaster Mgt journals

IJDSCR is happy to note that Prof. Richard Armitage of University of Cambridge's Centre of the Study of Existential Risk has listed IJDSCR among the 59 Disaster Management journals he short-listed for a study on the 'Artificial intelligence policies in disaster research: a review of journals and their publishers '.

He has specifically highlighted the AI-policy of IJDSCR on page 7 of the paper .... in which he says 'A recurring concern across policies relates to AI-generated references. International Journal of Disaster Studies and Climate Resilience notes that it "has experienced the ill-effects of this, with several authors submitting manuscripts with fictitious references … Large language models generate text by predicting plausible patterns, not by querying real bibliographic databases. So references are invented, with titles, journals and DOIs that look perfect but do not exist."
